A Self-Assigned Doodle Project with a Purpose: Variations on “What?”

what_1_small

I’ve never actually done this, so you’re witnessing awkward doodling history here. I have decided to assign myself the task of filling up a small notebook with doodles all based around a single central theme.

I chose “what?”.

So I’m going to make myself rein in the random a bit (although not too much) and focus on that one word as my initial inspiration. I’ll be posting them as I go. Some may be obvious, and some you might have to look at for a moment to see the tie-in. But it’ll be there…. honest.

Once the notebook is filled, I’m looking into ways to auction off the finished piece, with the proceeds going towards building a fund to buy our church a new passenger van. (Believe me, they need it. The one we have now is held together with dirt and prayer!) I know it won’t bring in a lot, but- hey- it’s a start.

And I want you guys to keep me honest. If you notice I haven’t posted at least one a week, you have my permission to give me tons of grief.

Sooo…..off we go!
