Jaggedsmile? Who the heck is that?
Jaggedsmile isn’t really a who. It’s not my name. It’s not even a nickname. It’s more a…well…an attitude, I guess. I’m not saying I don’t take life seriously, it’s just that I was born with a genetic “seriousness (seriosity? seriociousness?)” deficiency, so I have to be very choosy about where I delegate my limited “serious” resources.
I’ve always doodled. Oddly enough, it helps me concentrate better in meetings. A former, VERY understanding boss of mine once made the comment that he could gauge how much attention I was paying in a meeting by how many doodles I drew.
I’ve been fortunate enough to parlay my love of doodles and drawing into a career as a designer and illustrator.
My name is Jeff Gregory. I have a beautiful, fantastic, incredible friend for a wife named Kristi, and together we’ve merged our chromosomes into two wonderful kids, Ethan and Ella.

Yea! Welcome to the blogosphere my friend. What took you so long?
Keep posting you drawings and ramblings, you’ll gain favor with mice and mud wrestlers alike.
A note to any other readers out there: Use Jeff for your illustration needs! He’s versatile, creative, professional, and has good hygiene. I HIGHLY recommend Jeff for any of your illustration or design needs.

Jeff-
This stuff is amazing. One of these days we will all be saying “Yep, I knew that guy when he was doodling the voices in his head.”
You are brilliant. It’s scary.

Ok, so I’ve commented on your blog before, and I just cant take it anymore. My name is Megan and I have a blog where I feature artists. Not featuring you would be so stupid because you are sooooooo funny (not to mention talented). Wait, Do you want to be featured? ok, hit me up on the page my e-mail is there somewhere, I think that my readers would enjoy a pick me up hilarious cartoon and a bit about the artist behind it. It would be an honor.
Meg 🙂

Dude…I was just telling a co-worker today about your “doodle-talents” and the meetings we’d be in. I honestly would focus more on the doodles you did than what was being said, at time…not from the BOSS, of course…
Just found the blog today, and it IS AWESOME!
ALL READERS…this guy has more creative talent in one brain cell than ANYONE I have ever met. Not exagerrating. I got more inspiration just being around him than any conference I’ve been to.
Jeff, I hope all is well with you, your family, and your Wacom. I’m glad I found this Blog (and that Weird guy’s). Take care.

Hi Jeff!
I love your drawings- it’s amazing how much personality your characters have- they jump off the page.
I would love to animate the light bulb head guy to use as a character on my wiki site (I’m a high school English teacher, and maintain a a class wiki site for my students) The character would be used for education/motivational purposes only (no commercial anything). Would it be possible to get your permission for this? I truly understand if this is not okay with you.
Thank you so much for such engaging art, and for considering my request.

Say a guy has a screenplay he wrote and one day he wakes up, scratches his chin, and says, “Hrm, graphic novels are quite the rage. Perchance I were to find an ar-teest to render one them drawins’?”
Might one want to read some pages from a screenplay that’s 50 times better than that guys? Your style is ridicu-good. The story is about football. And dwarves. And swords.
Good day, sir.

Wonderfull wishings from the center of Vienna, Jeff !
ince a few days i am back of a longer meditation retreat, and during this time i could not get your sqirrel out of my mind. Again and again it came up to my conciousness and my fantasy started to play with some ideas.
To my person: I`m producing german (storytelling) hiphop since more than ten years and searching for a artist logo.
To your skillz: Would you be in the right mood to create a squirrel, like you already did, meditating on a hand full of nuts ? Or meditating with nuts between the fingers? Something like that, hope you could catch my message.
Looking forward to get soon feedback,
sunshine & backwind,
Harry

Your doodles seem to cross time & space barriers…age doesn’t show and days between then and now don’t exsist. In them I hear your voice, see your jagged smile, and know the laugh that seeps from each of your characters. Nice to find you here.

Is that just a beautifully worded, poetic way of telling me I never grew up? 😉
Thanks, Audra! Good to hear from you.

Hi Jeff,
I love your work. I own a stamp(crafty kind) company. We specialize in funny stamps. I would like to talk with you about buying some illustrations, and some ideas I have that you might like.
Thanks so much,

Hello.
I’m a budding web analyst and a webmaster. I saw your drawings with the ninja cow. How much would it cost to commission a cow, chicken, and pig? 6 illustrations in total? Please feel free to contact me via-email. We’re a start up but we loved your cow so much we feel like it would be a dis-service if we tried to outsource the work first to a designer.

Jeff, I have not seen illustration like that in a long time. Excellent. The pharisee sketches were nice. All the best to your family,

Jeff, it is odd that you would have been doodling a picture of Willie Hanson. Would have been interesting to have seen. W. Hanson
